The photographs in this section were taken at various locations around New Orleans by photographer, Carroll Grevemburg.  We thought a nice compliment to these photos would be what some others are saying about Grace Darling and her CD, 'Imaginary Lover'.

"Move Candy Dulfer to New Orleans, feed her on gumbo, give her long drink of water legs that don't stop, and hotchy motchie - look what you get.  Saxy lady Darling delivers the goods under Allen Toussaint's watchful ear and the sparks fly on this snazzy jazzy date that just doesn't know where to quit, or why.  Fun stuff not to be missed."

- Chris Spector, Editor & Publisher Midwest Record Recap

"Grace Darling, without realizing it, is another first for New Orleans. Her uniquely tasteful sound is an innovative blend of the diverse styles that has made this city perhaps the most renown musical kitchen in the world."

- Bernie Cyrus Louisiana Music Commissioner, Radio &TV Host

"I like everyone in the NYNO catalog but I gotta tell ya, Grace Darling is the one!  This woman has a vocal emotion that grabs me by the...  well it grabs me O.K.? And wah-wah sax? Damn!!  Why she ain't grabbed the country and a Billboard Top Ten is beyond me.  Of course, New Orleans has some of the finest musicians in the known universe, but it seems only us natives get it.  Looking forward to Grace's future releases, and hope you guys can keep signing some of the many talents New Orleans has to offer!"

- Harold Flanagan (a fan)

Grace Darling is often asked to describe her unique musical style and a few years ago she conjured up the term "pop gumbo".   For the liner notes on her CD, 'Imaginary Lover', Grace asked her good friend Bernie Cyrus (LA Music Commissioner, Radio & TV Host) to write something.  Here's what he wrote along with photographs from the CD taken by Australian born photographer, Hugh Hamilton.

Grace Darling has been known to attract some pretty diverse crowds. Here are pictures of Grace in top form, microphone in one hand and tenor sax in the other; "throwing down" at the release party for her CD, 'Imaginary Lover'.  Backed up by the ever talented Renard Poché (guitar), Garland Paul (drums), John Autin (keyboards), Vitas (bass), Ed & Suzanne Roussell (backing vocals) and Henry Love Vaughn (percussion), the house rocked.  This collection of photographs were taken Saturday Oct. 4, 1997 at The Howling Wolf in New Orleans, Louisiana by Matt Mitchell.

Grace Darling has had many "looks" over the years, and like her music, every time she reinvents herself it's hip and it's hot.  She just keeps getting better and better!  However, for the hard core "darling fans" who would like to know "from whence Grace came", we've included the following photographic stroll down memory lane...
